01Who we are and what this policy covers
Coral Cove Eats Hospitality Group Pty Ltd (ABN 47 291 830 654), trading as Coral Cove Eats, operates the restaurant, terrace, lounge and casino at 1 Pier Point Rd, Cairns City QLD 4870. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website, at the venue, through bookings and memberships, and via our CCTV and security systems. We comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
02Information we collect
We collect information you give us directly: name, contact details, booking preferences, dietary requirements, membership applications and payment details for deposits and purchases. We also collect information required by law on the gaming floor — including ID verification for casino entry, membership and large transactions — and technical data such as IP address, device type and browsing behaviour on this website.
03How we use your information
We use personal information to manage bookings and events, operate Coral Club membership, meet our licensing and responsible-gambling obligations, process payments, respond to enquiries and — where you have opted in — send venue news and offers. We never sell personal information, and we never use it for automated decisions that produce legal effects.
04Cookies and analytics
This website uses cookies to function, to remember your preferences and to understand aggregate traffic. Full details of the cookies we set, why we set them and how to control them are in our Cookie Policy. Your cookie banner choice is stored in your browser's local storage.
05Sharing and third parties
We share personal information only with service providers who need it to operate — booking and payment processors, IT hosting, and regulators where the law requires (for example, Queensland's Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation). Providers are bound by contract to protect your information and may not use it for their own purposes.
06Retention and security
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purpose collected or as required by law — gaming and licensing records have statutory retention periods. Data is stored on Australian-hosted systems with access controls, encryption in transit and audit logging for sensitive records.
07Your rights
You may request access to or correction of your personal information, ask us to delete it where the law permits, withdraw marketing consent at any time, and complain to us or to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. EU/UK visitors may additionally exercise GDPR rights — see our Legal Notice for the GDPR statement.
08Contact and complaints
Privacy questions, access requests and complaints: email [email protected] marked 'Privacy', or write to the Privacy Officer at our registered office. We acknowledge complaints within five business days and respond substantively within 30 days.
